Meow Wolf: Creating an Immersive Art Experience in Santa Fe, New Mexico | John Feins

Creating an Immersive Art Experience in Santa Fe, New MexicoToday we are joined by John Feins of Meow Wolf, a New Mexico based arts and entertainment group that established in 2008 as an art collective.

In 2011, they put together a larger installation at the Center for Contemporary Arts that gained much more attention than expected. This led them to create a permanent exhibition, formed out of an empty bowling alley.

In addition to their multiple permanent exhibitions, Meow Wolf also does many projects with other communities including festivals, parklets and non-profits.

This week on Small Business War Stories, John Feins joins us from Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Three reasons to tune in this week:

  • Learn how George R.R. Martin helped Meow Wolf bring their vision to life.
  • Realize why artists often leave Santa Fe for larger cities and what Meow Wolf is doing to change that.
  • Learn the way Meow Wolf gives back to the artists who make our communities a better place.

This episode is part of the Soul of America tour sponsored by Freshbooks. During October 2017, I took my second tour of America. I drove with my puppy Muddy Waggers, my guitar, and my podcasting equipment with the goal of recording podcast episodes with small business owners throughout the heart of America.
