In 1999, Allyson lived in New Orleans, working at a wig shop and as a burlesque dancer. It was there where she discovered her passion for extreme costuming and all things glittery and transformative. She then moved to Los Angeles to further her education in fashion design and went into wardrobe for film. Now, she lives in Texas and has owned Coco Coquette for eight successful years.
