Do you print your resumes?

Technology continues to advance at an amazing pace, and hiring is no exception.

That said, we often find that our customers like the feel of a paper resume, especially when it comes to interviewing candidates.

Do you think paper resumes will ever go away?

What Time of Day Do You Usually Look at Candidates?

We love to help local businesses hire.  Over time, we have noticed some interesting patterns regarding when people log in to look at candidates.

Our customers are busy owners and hiring managers of local businesses, and they have very little time to go through the process of sorting out applicants to their jobs.

This may be why we see a majority of our customers logging in after-hours and on weekends to quickly go through candidates when they have fewer competing tasks.

The Quality vs. Quantity Problem

Local hiring is tough, and most business owners and managers dread it.

One of the biggest challenges is that local businesses get flooded with dozens, if not hundreds of responses.

The task of going through these responses is daunting, and many hiring managers put it off for as long as possible.

When we talk to customers, we often hear them talk about how they don’t like to go through a high number of resumes.

However, when we narrow choices for them, they claim that they want to see everyone just to see if someone good “slipped through the cracks.”

A lot of this is human nature…we want to make sure we are not “missing out” on anything.

We are continuing to learn more about each one of our customers to help them make good hiring choices.
